- THIS IS DJIBOUTI!!!!!!!!! Djibouti is a eastern country in the continent Africa. Djibouti gained there independence from France on June 27,1977. The population is about 5,000,000 people and the languages are Arabic/French. The life expectancy for men is 50 and for women it is 48.An unemployment rate of 40% to 50% continues to be a major problem. The government is Parliamentary Republic and the President is Ismail Omar Guelleh along with the Prime Minister Dileita Mohamed Dileita. The country's main religion is Islam which carries 94 percent of the population. The rest of the six percent is other religions. Also Christianity is a main religion with Islam.
